A duty became a passion

We all have our individual duties… It can be numerous, heavy duties or simply a part of routine or requirement….

Today is literally called a hospital duty as a student nurse of San Pedro College. Later this afternoon, I’ll be taking care of sick people whom I don’t know…I’ll be acquainted with them later…I’ll be hearing some of their life story, listen to their problems and foresee their need.

This duty is part of my educational requirement but the care or concern I’ve shown is genuine. It is not learned from the school curriculum or taught in the books but it is innate within me. I love taking care of people… After the almost 8 hours of duty, it pays off to see relieved faces from my interventions and most of all to hear them say “Salamat or thank you”

I hope indeed I have been an angel in the sick room every after duty….
